British Heart Foundation
The British Heart Foundation is a charity which leads in the fight against heart and circulatory disease and is the nation’s largest independent funder of cardiovascular research. The BHF has been central to the discovery of vital treatments to help fight heart disease and aims to see a world where people no longer die prematurely because of it.
Cancer Research UK
Cancer Research UK is a leading charity funding research into ways to prevent, diagnose, treat and overcome this devastating disease. It supports groundbreaking science and funds research into more than 200 types of cancer, from the most common to the very rare. Thanks to this research, cancer survival has doubled over the past 40 years.
RRT (Rapid Relief Team)
Formed by the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church, RRT aims to offer support for local communities globally in their times of need. It is a volunteer-led charity which, among other things, caters for emergency crews while they conduct their vital work and provides food and support for the community during times of dire need, such as natural disasters.
Marie Curie
This world renowned charity provides support for people living with terminal illness and their families, offering all levels of help and care from advice and information to day-to-day expert nursing care. Last year the charity helped over 40,000 people coping with terminal illness.
